The Basics of Home Theater Designs
If you are planning to purchase a home theater, you have to plan thoroughly how to fix the various elements of the system around the room.Though the Home theater designs differ in their features the preferences to buy the home theater systems should follow a few basic rules. The different parts of the home theater system should be assembled in such a way as to create a pleasant entertaining capability. The size of the room is very important to accomadate its design. It should be considered that a screen that is too large or too small is not required .Very imporatant factor to be considered is the selection of audio according to the room size.
While you can still set up a home theater system in a fairly small room, you will need to choose a smaller screen rather than a giant projection style screen. The rule of thumb is to measure the screen then place the seating one third of the distance away. For example, if your screen measures 30 inches you should sit at least ten inches from the screen. If you sit too close to the screen, the picture quality will not be good and you may even strain your eyes. The bigger the screen, the farther away you'll need to sit.
On the subject of seating, you will find plenty of options. There are cinema style seats which offer a movie theater experience and the ultimate in comfort. You can find simple styles as well as extravagant styles that recline and feature cup holders built into the seats. Audio is yet another factor that is important to any home theater. Some people keep their speakers on either side of the television while others like the speakers placed around the entire room. Try different configurations to see what you prefer. Some people like surround sound, others find it overwhelming.
Another aspect you'll need to attend to in your home theater is lighting. If you're going for a traditional cinema experience, the darker the better. In addition, certain types of televisions such as projector screens require low light for optimal viewing. If your home theater room has windows, you can purchase light blocking shades for them. You can install dim lights along the sides of your theater room to provide enough visibility for people to get in and out of the room without a problem.
You can play around with various home theater designs to see what you like best. It helps to sketch out a design on paper before placing the elements around the room. You may even want to go online and look for images and diagrams of home theater setups to see what different configurations look like. It can be a real pain in the neck to move components around so it's best to figure out where you want everything ahead of time.
